1. Squad Role Specialization: Anti-Armor vs Chaff Clear
On Super Helldive, uncoordinated squads will be overrun within three minutes. A balanced four-diver composition requires strict division of labor: two Anti-Tank Specialists carrying heavy ordinance (Quasar Cannon, Recoilless Rifle, or Spear) to instantly dispatch Bile Titans, Factory Striders, and Chargers; one Crowd-Control Chaff Specialist running Stalwart or Flamethrower with a Supply Pack; and one Recon Scout using scout armor to sneak ahead, eliminate Automaton jammers, and trigger primary objectives.
2. Staggering Stratagem Cooldowns & Orbital Coordination
Never deploy redundant heavy stratagems simultaneously. Coordinate through voice or ping comms: when Diver 1 drops an Orbital Precision Strike on an incoming Hulk, Diver 2 reserves their Eagle 500kg Bomb for the next reinforcement wave. Staggering cooldowns ensures the squad is never caught defenseless during the 2-minute Eagle rearm window.
3. Eliminating Automaton Detector Towers & Jammer Stations
On the Automaton front, Stratagem Jammer stations are lethal priority threats that disable all orbital call-ins within a 150m radius. Approach stealthily from downwind in light scout armor. Look for an attached fabricator vent adjacent to the jammer structure: tossing a grenade into the vent automatically detonates the entire jammer complex without needing to interact with the manual hacking terminal.
4. Continuous Movement & Fighting on the Retreat
The most fatal mistake beginner Helldivers make is digging in and attempting to kill every enemy in sight. On Difficulty 10, enemy spawns are infinite and yield zero XP. The moment a bug breach or bot drop flare is triggered, drop an EMS mortar or smoke strike to break line of sight and immediately initiate a bounding withdrawal toward the next objective while firing backward.
5. Extraction Perimeter Defense Protocol
When calling the Pelican extraction shuttle, do not crowd the beacon. Set up overlapping fields of fire 40 meters away using Autocannon Sentries placed on elevated rock formations where chargers cannot trample them. Divert approaching swarms toward choke points seeded with Incendiary Mines, and board the shuttle the exact moment the landing ramp touches down.
